Have your very own meat free day. No hassle, no stress, eat whatever you like (apart from meat or fish). No worrying about whether anyone else will like what you eat. All meals and snacks #meatfree. Simples.

Cook, ready meal, take away?
You decide.

Photograph your meals, share recipes if you like. At the end of the day, when all eating is done, upload images to your favourite social media platform. Remember to tag us too 🙂

Double bubble this quest and #buddy up with someone. Share all #meatfree meals (& snacks!) on one day. Maybe that's your bestie, bf, gf or mum - you know who will take up this challenge with you.

You cook, they cook, cook together, eat out, take away, a mixture of all possibilities - you both decide.

Photos of you both with your scummy meals please and all the relevant #tags.

It's going to be mouth-wateringly awesome. We just know it.

Build your worldchanging #team and have a totally delicious day.

Team = More than 2 people.
Day = All meals (and snacks)
Meat Free = No meat or Fish

Weekends and holidays are great days for this. Don't worry if someone can't be with you for all meals. Simply ask them to share photos of what they are eating #nocheating.

Tip: Ask everone in your team to bring a veggie course to share for your main meal. It helps cut costs, everyone gets to try a tasty new recipe and is just more fun!

According a report published in 2014 by researchers at Oxford University, the carbon footprint of people in the UK who eat a vegan diet is about half that of people who eat meat. In terms of average carbon dioxide equivalents (CO2e) per day it looks like this: 7.19kg of CO2e for High meat eaters (over 100g of meat a day) 5.64kg of CO2e for Medium meat eaters (50 to 100g of meat a day) 4.67kg of CO2e for Low meat eaters (less than 50g of meat a day) 3.91kg of CO2e for Pescatarians (no meat, but do eat fish) 3.81kg of CO2e for Vegetarians (no meat, but do eat dairy products) 2.89kg of CO2e for Vegans.
