The work that the Pesticide Action Network did on pesticides still on fruit and veg when you buy them at the shops was also featured on the BBC's "The Honest Supermarket". They also found the "Clean Fifteen", but note the list means just the least amount of pesticide residue not necessarily zero reside ...
Very good question! The simplest way to describe it is the amount of fruit or vegetables that would fit into your cupped hand.
Watch out for vegetables (or fruits) that are so processed with fats, salts, sugars that they are no longer healthy. We're thinking (sorry in advance for this ...) chips, crisps, carrot cake, blueberry muffins - you get the idea. The good news is that frozen fresh vegetables and fruits count (but not banoffee pie or strawberry ice-cream or anything else full of the wrong kind of calories.
